Ho, Ho, Ho's...Merry Christmas!

Hello to all readers of my blog (all zero of you),

I wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. In the off chance that someone actually reads my blog, much less subscribes to it, I thought I would send some holiday cheer as I sip a Scotch on the rocks and reflect on the year that was.

Best regards,

Matt

8 Days and Counting

Alright, so this is really it. In eight days, I will have a small, circular piece of metal on my finger that essentially steers the rest of my life. That's right, the wedding is upon us. I'm actually looking forward to seeing everyone together. It should be lots of fun.

We're most definitely ready to head to St. Lucia for our honeymoon. It's a much needed break not just from the wedding but also from the rat race of life that is part of living in the metro-D.C. area.

Well, this'll probably be my last official posting as a bachelor. If anyone has any last words of advice, I'm all ears. See you on the other side, bitches.

The Wedding is Fast Approaching...

Alright, so, I've been super deliquent when it comes to posting stuff to the ol' blog. What can I say, I've been busy. Because of shifting careers, grad school, putting a downpayment on a pre-construction condo, and getting ready for the wedding and honeymoon, I've been short on blog time.

Well, consider yourselves lucky. I've decided to make a post. It just struck me that the wedding is barely two months away. Kinda crazy. I am gearing up for my bachelor party in Las Vegas which should be pretty sweet I think.

If anyone actually reads this thing, which I doubt, it would be awesome if you'd consider making a generous contribution to our new condo fund. That stuff is expensive! We're looking to upgrade flooring, kitchen counters, etc. It all costs money. Gotta love it.

Enjoy the remains of summer.

Turning 31

Yesterday was my 31st birthday. I've officially entered my thirties, whoopee. To celebrate, my fiance and I went to see Huey Lewis & the News at Wolf Trap in Virginia. As always, the show was awesome and the weather was perfect.

If you are reading this, you'll also note that I've been negligent about posting and updating my blog regularly. I've been super busy and am still trying to think of an original theme to make this thing stand out. Ideas are always welcomed.

At Long Last, My Website...

Thanks to the simplicity of Google Apps, I've finally begun the process of creating a Website for myself. It will be nothing short of phenominal once completed. Give my work in progress a look by visiting www.matthewseward.com. Stay tuned.

Well It's About Time...

Finally, finally, Sanjaya got the boot from American Idol. I know that I've been negligent about posting to my blog lately, but this monumentous occassion called for a few celebratory words.

Thanks a lot, Buckeyes.

While I rarely do well in the March Madness brackets, this year's installment was particularly painful. Instead of voting party lines, I tend to mix things up a bit in my bracket choices in hopes of gaining big from victorious underdogs.

This year's bracket was not as interesting as those of the past, as many teams performed just as expected. I lost out big time and watched my name fall down the ranks.

I did, however, have the Ohio State Buckeyes going all the way and winning this year. Up through last evening, I had high hopes. In the end, I should have taken my ten buck office pool entry fee and lit a cigar with it, flushed it down the toilet, or let it go out the car window. There's always next year.

A Trial Run...

So, I'm trying to get my first blog set up. It has definitely been easy. Essentially, I want to have a place to post personal and professional accomplishments. Currently, I'm working to complete my Master of Science degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from West Virginia University.

I am also interested in assisting organizations with marketing communications on an as-needed basis. Well, I'll keep this one brief. Welcome, all, to the Matthew Seward Roadshow.
